Our 4th annual Slim Cinema Vertical Film Festival on April 27th was truly a big one for us. We couldn’t be happier with how the sold out show turned out! Thank you to the creative community for blessing us with your talents, energy, and enthusiasm for all the filmmakers we screened.
We are proud to showcase the beauty of diversity in the creative arts and filmmaking industry with the amazing stories submitted. Everything from the art, music, and film were on full display of the amazing culture and community we are humbled to be a part of. Thank you.
Big shout out to our partners: VICE, Heaven Hill (Evan Williams, HPNOTIQ), Facebook/IGTV, Monster, Essentia, The Nugget Spot, Insomnia Cookies, NVR SLEEP, Spoiled NYC.

Can’t wait for the next one.
See you in 2020.
On December 2nd, 2017, Slim Cinema shut down Brooklyn with another sold out experience! This year, we hosted 600+ attendees at our biggest event to date. We partnered with The Muse to allow us to reimagine their warehouse vibe and transform their indoor and outdoor areas for the third Slim Cinema! With over 80 submissions this year from across the globe, our Selection Committee shortlisted our top 10 to screen. The audience loved all of them - drawing emotion from all over the spectrum from laughter to tears as this year's talented filmmakers brought us into hilarious/wtf moments to relevant and powerful messages.
As there can only be one winner - we are happy to announce the crowd favorite as #MeToo, a musical by Mercury Road*. This amazing film touches upon the super relevant #metoo movement through clever storytelling and original music. Congratulations to the Mercury Road team and we are looking forward to seeing future submissions! *Directed & Written by Jenny Joslin, Annette Mia Flores, and Kendall Watkins, Original Composition by Andrew Scott Bell, and Cinematography & Editing by Chase McDaniel.
We of course would love to give a big shout out to this year's sponsors and partners for helping us bring together the right atmosphere to a space full of creators & explorers. Our night was blessed with music and sounds by BK's own NVR SLEEP DJ collective, food from Williamsburg Pizza, brews from Heineken, late night bites & energy from Insomnia Cookies & Monster Energy, and that new wave Brain Juice. We also had the pleasure of showcasing art from Good Luck Dry Cleaner's Phil Reese and was spreading good vibes throughout the night with Dru & the #ITSALLGOLD project.
If you missed out (shame on you), stay tuned as we are planning out a pop-up for 2018!

For our latest installment of Slim Cinema - we sold out with over 400 guests and showcased 10 amazing films, DJ sets by JRobb, Curated Art from local NY artists, food by Bareburger, drinks by Ciroc, The Bronx Brewery, and Monster Energy, Projection Photography via Kast'd, and was even inking tattoos!
We are reinventing what a "film festival" should be in many aspects, from the format to the overall experience. The audience loved the 10 original films that were screened which opened up different perspectives on the future of media in a mobile world.

NEW YORK, NY
On February 6th, 2016, we kicked off Slim Cinema with a launch party! With 6 films created by storytellers across the country from LA to Houston to NYC, we hosted over 150 attendees to their first ever Vertical Film experience.
Sounds were curated by 2 of NYC's hottest DJs (@annacollecta & @rodneyhazard), libations from @effenvodka, and space hosted by @animoto - the launch was a success!
